Lo mejor
La Madernassa is a stylish restaurant in a very stylish environment, which makes me usually suspicious as far as the quality of the food is concerned. However, our visit in August 2011 proved that the kitchen of La Madernassa keeps up with the promise. To begin with, the panorama - high above Alba - is breathtaking. The tables are placed on a large covered veranda, and the evening breeze was very welcome after a hot day. We had a 4-course dinner with antipasti (delicious carne cruda, very tasty thin slices of arrosto di coniglio, vitello tonnato with a rich tuna mayonese), tajerin al ragú, a well-cooked costata di vitello for two (rare without asking before but for us it was ok), and finally the dessert with pears cooked in three different ways and a delicate panna cotta. The Japanese influence was apparent, under vision and taste aspects, especially for the pears that were cut and fanned out in beautifully thin slices - one of the cooking modes was green tea. The wine selection is huge and concentrates of course on the local varieties. The bottles are reasonably prized. The service was most of the time well organized and very friendly throughout - despite our somewhat limited Italian. It is not exactly a cheap restaurant but the prizes are still adequate. A memorable experience.

Personale gentile, la location è superba, peccato che la sera che ci siamo recati alla Madernassa piovesse..... splendida vista sulle colline, bonus per il parcheggio coperto.
Lo peor
Ci ha deluso il cibo in generale di qualità mediocre e quantità appena accettabili, con proporzione quantità/qualità prezzo non del tutto soddisfacente
